During Ted Bundy’s rambling 38-minute appeal to the jury for a life sentence, Bundy said at one point, “the bottom line is that the person that killed Kimberly Diane Leach is not in this courtroom.” After the prosecution objected, Bundy continued and began to sob when he told the jury, “Please, please be fair… ask yourself if I’m capable of murdering Kimberley Diane Leach, and if you’re wrong, there’s no way to correct your mistake.”
